About

My ceramic work is hand crafted, using a variety of stoneware clays. The addition of oxides enhances the texture and natural colours of the clay.

I am constantly exploring new ways of creating form, texture and pattern, using sketching and experimentation with different clay bodies.

My influences come from nature and the effect of natural forces creating patterns in the landscape; such as the forms left behind in the sand by the sea, or the way the wind collects fallen leaves and creates movement in the sky.

The tactile quality of each unique piece invites the viewer to explore, look and feel, to create their own ideas based on experiences they have had.
